It’s still kind of summer in Sedona. I mean it was 85 degrees yesterday! Thats okay, I’m not complaining. Gives me a little more time to enjoy my favorite summertime (actually anytime) food. Smoothie bowls. This one is pretty special. I created it 2 Valentine’s ago for my Husband Mike, hence the name. We we’re on a no drinking kick and opted for this goodness and a day at the beach. True love <3

It features my favorite superfoods of the moment (see below), but feel free to play! You can use avocado in place of banana for a lower sugar bowl or you can do half and half…

  • Strawberries (so good right now!)
  • Hemp Seeds
  • Avocado
  • Maca

What You’ll Need

Serves 2

2 frozen bananas or 1 avocado (for a low glycemic option)

1 cup of frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries)

1 1/2 cups of almond milk

2 tablespoons almond butter

1 tablespoon Dastony coconut butter

1 teaspoon maca

4 tablespoons xylitol (if you opted out of banana)

1/4 teaspoon Celtic salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

4 tablespoons hemp seeds

2 tablespoons goji berries

1 cups of your favorite granola

Fresh berries for topping


Blend banana or avocado, berries, almond milk, almond butter, coconut butter, maca, xylitol (only if no banana), salt, and cinnamon in your Vita-mix until creamy. Pour into a bowl and top with hemp, goji, favorite granola and berries! Serve with LOVE.
